Hi,  I'm Fabienne. I am a novice woodworker, currently studying squirreled away in the countryside with my husband and dog. I'm absolutely loving the change of scenery - having recently moved from London - learning so many new skills and meeting a beautiful new set of people. The only down side is being far away from our beautiful children, their partners and many of our lovely friends - but they've all been so supportive of this journey which is making everything even more worth it!

My Story

This might be a slightly unconventional route to woodworking. 

I have always been interested in designing and creating things, having been brought up fixing, planning and making projects around the house and garden. This, and a love of maths, lead to my first profession as an architect - involving a lot of sketching and making of models, early practice for this new stage of my life. 

Two kids, a second career teaching, and a lot of odd DIY jobs later, I finally had the time and the opportunity to take a break, find a course and dedicate myself to learning a new craft that I love and that I'll hopefully keep doing for many years to come!
